Louisiana High School Basketball - Hammond tipped by East Ascension

The East Ascension Spartans basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Hammond Tornadoes to 54 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Spartans now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Episcopal for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 8. East Ascension will confront a Knights team coming off a 57-37 non-league win over Bethany Christian (Baker, LA). The Knights record now stands at 3-1.

The Tornadoes (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Aquinas (Hammond, LA). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Aquinas was nudged by Brother Martin (New Orleans, LA), 55-44, in a non-league contest.
