The South Tahoe Vikings held off the host Elko Indians football team by a count of 41-36 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, South Tahoe upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Vikings travel to Sparks (Sparks, NV) to face the Railroaders in a IA Northern bout on Friday, October 12. The Railroaders enter the bout with a record of 0-7. Sparks lost 53-6 in their recent league bout against Lowry (Winnemucca, NV)

The Indians (1-5) will now prepare for their bout against Dayton (Dayton, NV). The Dust Devils enter the IA Northern bout with a 2-4 record. In their last bout, Dayton nudged Wooster (Reno, NV), 20-14, in a league bout.
