North Carolina High School Softball - Topsail bounces North Brunswick
March 29, 2010: Leland, NC 28451 Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host North Brunswick Scorpions (Leland, NC), 15-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Pirates now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Croatan for a 2A East Central challenge on Tuesday, March 30. Topsail will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 6-5 league win over Clinton (Clinton, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, North Brunswick falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Scorpions travel to South Brunswick (Southport, NC) to battle the Cougars in a 3A/2A Waccamaw challenge on Tuesday, March 30. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. South Brunswick lost 12-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Ashley (Wilmington, NC)
