In Saturday's league outing, the Valley Vikings (Gilcrest, CO) basketball squad edged the host Platte Valley Broncos (Kersey, CO), by a margin of 47-44.

The Vikings (5-5) will now prepare for their outing against Strasburg (Strasburg, CO). The Indians go into the 3A/2A Patriot outing with a 6-2 record. In their last outing, Strasburg was tipped by Eaton (Eaton, CO), 80-77, in a league outing.

The Broncos now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they host Brush for a 3A/2A Patriot outing on Tuesday, January 19. Platte Valley will clash with a Beetdiggers squad coming off a 63-55 league loss to Valley (Gilcrest, CO). The Beetdiggers record now stands at 2-7.
