Northwest Texans (Justin, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Brewer Bears (White Settlement, TX), 56-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Northwest upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Texans travel to Boswell (Fort Worth, TX) to play the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, November 25. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Bears play the Stephenville Yellowjackets (Stephenville, TX) in a non-league bout, on Monday, November 23. Brewer will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 50-47 non-league loss to Azle (Azle, TX).
