January 6, 2018: Julesburg, CO 80737 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Sedgwick County Cougars (Julesburg, CO) and the visiting Fleming Wildcats (Fleming, CO), saw Sedgwick County's basketball squad overcome Fleming by a tally of 47-38.
With the victory, Sedgwick County improves its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Holyoke (Holyoke, CO) to confront the Dragons in a 2A/1A Lower Platte challenge on Friday, January 12. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 4-5. Holyoke won 63-57 in their recent non-league challenge against Wray (Wray, CO)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Peetz Bulldogs (Peetz, CO) in a 1A District 4 challenge, on Thursday, January 11. Fleming will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 8-0 record after their 68-45 non-league win over Merino (Merino, CO).
