High Plains Storm (Polk, NE) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Howells-Dodge Jaguars (Howells, NE), 49-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, High Plains upgrades its record to 21-2 on the season. The Storm travel to Archbishop Bergan (Fremont, NE) to clash with the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 1. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 10-13. Archbishop Bergan won 44-30 in their recent league bout against Omaha Christian Academy (Omaha, NE)
