Match Summary
The Patten Bulldogs came into their first game of the season with almost no practice time before the day. However, though the score of the first match was as lopsided as might be expected under those circumstances, the players showed that they hadn't lost much of their individual and team knowledge since the end of the last season.
Having lost multiple graduating Seniors, the Patten squad had quite a few new starters - all of whom showed that they understood the game and were ready to step up and take care of business.
The second set showed this, as all players made contributions to a solid run that had them in the lead briefly. However, lack of playing time together as a team along with some mistakes caused by over-trying led to 3-set loss. The future looks bright, however - these girls are ready to play.
