Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Cortez Colts (Phoenix, AZ) and the host Washington Rams (Phoenix, AZ), saw Cortez's basketball squad trounce Washington by a score of 89-68.

With the victory, Cortez improves its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Colts travel to Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ) to battle the Saints in a 4A Black Canyon challenge on Friday, January 16. The Saints come into the challenge with a record of 15-4. Notre Dame Prep won 70-37 in their recent league challenge against Moon Valley (Phoenix, AZ)

Next up, the Rams battle the Glendale Cardinals (Glendale, AZ) in a 4A Black Canyon challenge, on Friday, January 16. Washington will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 68-40 league loss to Greenway (Phoenix, AZ).
