Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Monessen can't hold off Belle Vernon
January 19, 2019: Belle Vernon, PA 15012 The Belle Vernon Leopards basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the visiting Monessen Greyhounds to 59 in the Leopards non-league victory on Saturday.
The Leopards now sport a 3-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Waynesburg Central for a WPIAL 4A 3 contest on Tuesday, January 22.
The Greyhounds (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Jefferson-Morgan (Jefferson, PA). The Rockets come into the non-league contest with a 4-11 record. In their last contest, Jefferson-Morgan was nudged by Mapletown (Greensboro, PA), 53-49, in a non-league contest.
