Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Fairview can't hold off Mercyhurst Prep

February 5, 2010: Fairview, PA 16415

The Mercyhurst Prep Lakers basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Fairview Tigers to 48 in the Lakers league triumph on Friday.

The Lakers now sport a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host State College for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 6. Mercyhurst Prep will meet a Little Lions team coming off a 65-54 non-league loss to McDowell (Erie, PA). The Little Lions record now stands at 11-5.

With the defeat, Fairview moves to 14-3 on the year. The Tigers travel to Iroquois (Erie, PA) to face the Braves in a District 10 Region 4 match on Tuesday, February 9. The Braves enter the match with a record of 2-16. Iroquois lost 54-39 in their recent league match against Eisenhower (Russell, PA)
