Illinois High School Basketball - Lanphier trounces Thornridge
December 30, 2008: Springfield, IL 62702 The Lanphier Lions (Springfield, IL) basketball crushed the visiting Thornridge Falcons (Dolton, IL), 68-42 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Lions (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Darnall (Geneseo, IL). The Maple Leafs go into the non-league test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Darnall was trounced by Washington (Washington, IL), 63-32, in a non-league test.
The Falcons now own a 0-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Quincy for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 31. Thornridge will clash with a Blue Devils squad coming off a 53-47 non-league loss to Boylan (Rockford, IL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-5.
