Indiana High School Basketball - Center Grove nips Mooresville
February 16, 2016: Mooresville, IN 46158 Center Grove Trojans (Greenwood, IN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Mooresville Pioneers (Mooresville, IN), 37-35 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Center Grove upgrades its record to 8-13 on the campaign. The Trojans host North Central (Indianapolis, IN) to play the Panthers in a Marion County bout on Friday, February 19. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 17-2. North Central won 70-67 in their recent league bout against Pike (Indianapolis, IN)
Next up, the Pioneers play the Greenwood Woodmen (Greenwood, IN) in a Mid-State bout, on Friday, February 19. Mooresville will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Woodmen come into the bout with a 10-9 record after their 63-49 league win over Plainfield (Plainfield, IN).
First Quarter
Mooresville got off to a slow start hitting on just 2-7 fgs. Center Grove hit on 4-10 (including 2-3 from behind the arc). KC Earls led Mooresville in scoring with 4 pts.
