The Porter Ridge Pirates basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Parkwood Rebels to 47 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.

The Pirates now sport a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Weddington for a 4A/3A Southern Carolina contest on Tuesday, February 5. Porter Ridge will meet a Warriors team coming off a 78-62 league loss to Anson (Wadesboro, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 12-8.

The Rebels (0-15) will now prepare for their contest against Sun Valley (Monroe, NC). The Spartans enter the 4A/3A Southern Carolina contest with a 11-8 record. In their last contest, Sun Valley was outscored by Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC), 51-50, in a league contest.
