Michigan High School Basketball - Munising nips Gwinn
January 24, 2014: Gwinn, MI 49841 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Munising Mustangs (Munising, MI) and the host Gwinn Modeltowners (Gwinn, MI), saw Munising's basketball squad hold off Gwinn by a tally of 50-43.
With the victory, Munising improves its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Bark River-Harris (Harris, MI) to play the Broncos in a Central Upper Peninsula challenge on Tuesday, January 28. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 7-4. Bark River-Harris lost 84-41 in their recent league challenge against North Central (Powers, MI)
Next up, the Modeltowners play the Negaunee Miners (Negaunee, MI) in a Mid-Peninsula challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Gwinn will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Miners come into the challenge with a 10-1 record after their 68-23 league win over Manistique (Manistique, MI).
