The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Tug Valley Panthers (Williamson, WV) and the visiting Haysi Tigers (Haysi, VA), observed Tug Valley's football squad defeat Haysi by a count of 22-14.

The Panthers now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Tolsia for a non-league contest on Friday, September 26. Tug Valley will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 33-6 league loss to Hoover (Clendenin, WV). The Rebels record now stands at 1-3.

The Tigers (2-1) will now prepare for their bout against Grundy (Grundy, VA). The Golden Wave enter the non-league bout with a 0-4 record. In their last bout, Grundy was toppled by Graham (Bluefield, VA), 40-6, in a league bout.
