California High School Baseball - Mira Costa loses to Capistrano Valley
April 6, 2011: Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 The Capistrano Valley Cougars baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Mira Costa Mustangs to 1 in the Cougars non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Cougars (10-5) will now prepare for their match against Centennial (Compton, CA). The Apaches go into the non-league match with a 2-6 record. In their last match, Centennial was overwhelmed by Torrance (Torrance, CA), 4-1, in a league match.
The Mustangs (11-6) will now prepare for their match against West (Torrance, CA). The Warriors go into the Bay match with a 7-8 record.
Game Summary
The fifth and final game of the Anaheim Lions Tourney featured two fine teams from Southern California with the Cougars of CVHS defeating Mira Costa Mustangs 6-1 with 5 runs in the top of the seventh.
