Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Ashbrook Green Wave (Gastonia, NC) and the host Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC), saw Ashbrook's basketball squad wallop Kings Mountain by a tally of 82-40.

With the victory, Ashbrook improves its record to 20-0 on the campaign. The Green Wave host Stuart Cramer (Belmont, NC) to play the Storm in a Big South 3A challenge on Friday, February 2. The Storm come into the challenge with a record of 10-9. Stuart Cramer lost 46-28 in their recent league challenge against North Gaston (Dallas, NC)

Next up, the Mountaineers play the Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC) in a Big South 3A challenge, on Friday, February 2. Kings Mountain will attempt to improve on its 10-10 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 8-12 record after their 76-51 league loss to Forestview (Gastonia, NC).
