Cypress Springs Panthers (Cypress, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Cypress Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX), 45-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Cypress Springs upgrades its record to 11-13 on the season. The Panthers host Cy-Fair (Cypress, TX) to confront the Bobcats in a 6A Region III District 17 challenge on Friday, February 3. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 13-13. Cy-Fair lost 62-52 in their recent league challenge against Langham Creek (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Spartans confront the Cypress Woods Wildcats (Cypress, TX) in a 6A Region III District 17 challenge, on Friday, February 3. Cypress Lakes will attempt to improve on its 10-19 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 19-9 record after their 50-23 league win over Cy-Ridge (Houston, TX).
