Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Great Valley nips Phoenixville
January 27, 2018: Malvern, PA 19355 Great Valley Patriots (Malvern, PA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Phoenixville Phantoms (Phoenixville, PA), 61-56 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Great Valley upgrades its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Patriots host Octorara Area (Atglen, PA) to play the Braves in a Ches-Mont - American bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Braves come into the bout with a record of 3-11. Octorara Area lost 66-59 in their recent league bout against Bayard Rustin (West Chester, PA)
Next up, the Phantoms play the Pottsgrove Falcons (Pottsgrove, PA) in a Pioneer - Frontier bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Phoenixville will attempt to upgrade on its 8-13 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 10-11 record after their 79-61 non-league win over Harriton (Rosemont, PA).
