The Centennial Hawks basketball team scored 77 points and held the host Alamogordo Tigers to 59 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Hawks now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Roswell for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 12. Centennial will meet a Coyotes team coming off a 77-49 non-league win over Clovis (Clovis, NM). The Coyotes record now stands at 11-1.

The Tigers (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Mayfield was outscored by Hobbs (Hobbs, NM), 70-59, in a non-league contest.
