Pennsylvania High School Football - Greensburg Salem held off by Hempfield Area
August 26, 2016: Greensburg, PA 15601 Hempfield Area Spartans (Greensburg, PA) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Greensburg Salem Golden Lions (Greensburg, PA), 28-21 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Hempfield Area improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Spartans host Canon-McMillan (Canonsburg, PA) to battle the Big Macs in a WPIAL 6A 2 test on Friday, September 2. The Big Macs come into the test with a record of 1-0. Canon-McMillan won 42-22 in their recent non-league test against Kiski Area (Vandergrift, PA)
With the loss, Greensburg Salem drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Golden lions host Ringgold (Monongahela, PA) to battle the Rams in a WPIAL 4A 2 test on Friday, September 2. The Rams come into the test with a record of 0-0.
