January 16, 2009: Espanola, NM 87532 In Friday's non-league outing, the Espanola Valley Sun Devils (Espanola, NM) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Piedra Vista Panthers (Farmington, NM), by a margin of 61-42.
The Sun Devils (15-2) will now prepare for their outing against Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 2-14 record. In their last outing, Albuquerque was beaten by Gallup (Gallup, NM), 74-50, in a non-league outing.
The Panthers now own a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cuba for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 17. Piedra Vista will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 57-50 non-league loss to Coronado (Gallina, NM). The Rams record now stands at 4-12.
