The West Mecklenburg Hawks basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Olympic Trojans to 55 in the Hawks league triumph on Friday.

The Hawks now sport a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Comenius for a non-league contest on Monday, December 28. West Mecklenburg will battle a Knights team coming off a 64-53 non-league win over Walnut Grove Christian (Fort Mill, SC). The Knights record now stands at 11-0.

The Trojans (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Sabres enter the So. Meck 8 4A contest with a 7-2 record.
