Braintree Wamps (Braintree, MA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Newton North Tigers (Newtonville, MA), 48-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Braintree upgrades its record to 13-0 on the season. The Wamps travel to Wellesley (Wellesley, MA) to encounter the Raiders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 10-3. Wellesley won 53-43 in their recent league bout against Dedham (Dedham, MA)
