Shaw Raiders (Columbus, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Central Chargers (Macon, GA), 46-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Shaw upgrades its record to 2-6 on the season. The Raiders host Northside (Columbus, GA) to play the Patriots in a 2-AAA bout on Friday, January 9. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Northside won 64-58 in their recent league bout against Troup County (LaGrange, GA)

Next up, the Chargers play the Northeast Raiders (Macon, GA) in a 4-AA bout, on Tuesday, January 6. Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 56-41 non-league loss to Westside (Macon, GA).
