The Springfield Tigers football team (Springfield, MN), was beaten 42-26 in Friday's league challenge with the host Sleepy Eye Indians (Sleepy Eye, MN)

The Indians (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Cedar Mountain/Comfrey (Morgan, MN). The Cougars come into the Southwest challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, Cedar Mountain/Comfrey was beaten by Minnesota Valley Lutheran (New Ulm, MN), 55-7, in a league challenge.

The Tigers now sport a 0-4 record. They play next when they host New Ulm Cathedral for a Southwest outing on Friday, September 30. Springfield will confront a Greyhounds team coming off a 27-14 league loss to Red Rock Central (Lamberton, MN). The Greyhounds record now stands at 1-3.
