In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Hillside Comets football squad scored a good 28-13 victory over the Somerville Pioneers.

In their next game, the Comets clash with the Governor Livingston Highlanders (Berkeley Heights, NJ) in a Mid State 39 - Mountain match, on Saturday, October 3. Hillside will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Highlanders enter the match with a 2-0 record after their 17-7 non-league win over Brearley (Kenilworth, NJ).

The Pioneers (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Summit (Summit, NJ). The Hilltoppers enter the non-league match with a 3-0 record. In their last match, Summit ran past Johnson (Clark, NJ), 49-7, in a league match.
