Indiana High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon edges New Palestine

The Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN) basketball nipped the host New Palestine Dragons (New Palestine, IN), 68-64 in Friday's league test.

The Marauders (12-8) will now prepare for their test against Yorktown (Yorktown, IN). The Tigers go into the Hoosier Heritage test with a 2-16 record. In their last test, Yorktown was tipped by Wapahani (Selma, IN), 60-34, in a non-league test.

The Dragons now own a 4-16 record. They play next when they travel to Whiteland for a non-league test on Saturday, February 18. New Palestine will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 57-47 league win over Martinsville (Martinsville, IN). The Warriors record now stands at 13-6.
