Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA), 71-60 in a league bout.

With the victory, Woodside moves its record to 12-3 on the year. The Wolverines host Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA) to face the Tigers in a 6A Conference 2 game on Tuesday, February 2. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 14-2.
