September 7, 2012: Kenilworth, NJ 07003 The New Providence Pioneers football squad scored 49 points and limited the host Brearley Bears to 14 in the Pioneers league win on Friday.
The Pioneers now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Belvidere for a Mid-State 38 - Union battle on Friday, September 14. New Providence will play a County Seaters squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over South Hunterdon (Lambertville, NJ). The County Seaters record now stands at 1-0.
Coming up next, the Bears play the Bernards Mountaineers (Bernardsville, NJ) in a Mid-State 38 - Union battle, on Friday, September 14. Brearley will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record.
