October 5, 2015: Powhatan, VA 23139 The Powhatan Indians football team (Powhatan, VA), was knocked off 59-35 in Monday's non-league challenge with the visiting Western Albemarle Warriors (Crozet, VA)
The Warriors (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Orange County (Orange, VA). The Fighting Hornets come into the non-league challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Orange County knocked off Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA), 20-16, in a league challenge.
The Indians now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Louisa County for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 9. Powhatan will meet a Lions team coming off a 62-6 non-league win over Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Lions record now stands at 2-4.
