The Rocky Mount Gryphons (Rocky Mount, NC) basketball crushed the host Southern Nash Firebirds (Bailey, NC), 67-24 in Friday's league test.

The Gryphons (14-2) will now prepare for their test against Northern Nash (Rocky Mount, NC). The Knights go into the 3A Big East test with a 15-0 record. In their last test, Northern Nash walloped Fike (Wilson, NC), 76-46, in a league test.

The Firebirds now own a 2-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nash Central for a 3A Big East test on Tuesday, January 24. Southern Nash will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 50-46 league loss to Hunt (Wilson, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-6.
