The Yachtsmen now own a 1-0 record.
With the loss, Yarmouth falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Clippers host Greely (Cumberland Center, ME) to battle the Rangers in a Class B West challenge on Wednesday, May 16. The Rangers enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Greely won 12-0 in their recent league challenge against Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME)
Game Summary
Falmouth High School took advantage of 6 Yarmouth errors and 7 walks holding on to defeat the Clippers by a score of 12-9. Falmouth jumped out to a 7-0 lead before Yarmouth came back with 4 runs in the 2nd inning highlighted by a Kallie Hutchinson triple which knocked in two Clippers. After Falmouth built their lead back up to 12-5, the Clippers came back again by scoring 4 runs in the 5th. RBI singles by two freshman, Emily Parker and Michelle Robichaud keyed the rally. MaKenzie Gray had another great day at the plate going 3 for 4. Lydia Ruetty also had 3 hits and scored two runs. Alexa Sullivan and Kallie Hutchinson also had 2 hits in the game for Yarmouth.
