Central Chargers (Macon, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Spencer Green Waves (Columbus, GA), 73-69 in a league bout.

With the win, Central upgrades its record to 21-2 on the season. The Chargers travel to Kendrick (Columbus, GA) to clash with the Cherokees in a AAA Region 2 game on Tuesday, February 2. The Cherokees enter the game with a record of 5-18.

With the defeat, Spencer moves to 7-16 on the year. The Green waves host Westside (Macon, GA) to face the Seminoles in a AAA Region 2 game on Tuesday, February 2. The Seminoles enter the game with a record of 18-5. Westside lost 62-61 in their recent non-league game against Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA)
