Haverford School Fords (Haverford, PA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Malvern Prep Friars (Malvern, PA), 93-86 in a league bout.

With the victory, Haverford School upgrades its record to 5-10 on the campaign.

Next up, the Friars play the Germantown Academy Patriots (Fort Washington, PA) in a Inter-Academic bout, on Thursday, February 11. Malvern Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 13-11 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 20-5 record after their 64-51 league win over Episcopal Academy (Newtown Square, PA).
