October 10, 2008: Wichita Falls, TX 76306 In Friday's league match, the visiting Vernon Lions football squad scored a good 35-7 victory over the Hirschi Huskies.
In their next game, the Lions clash with the Burkburnett Bulldogs (Burkburnett, TX) in a 3A Region I District 5 match, on Friday, October 17. Vernon will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 5-1 record after their 31-15 league loss to Bridgeport (Bridgeport, TX).
The Huskies (0-6) will now prepare for their match against Decatur (Decatur, TX). The Eagles enter the 3A Region I District 5 match with a 3-3 record. In their last match, Decatur thwarted Iowa Park (Iowa Park, TX), 42-35, in a league match.
