In Tuesday's non-league match, the host North Allegheny Tigers basketball team scored a tight 55-50 triumph over the Altoona Mountain Lions.

In their next game, the Tigers meet the Bethel Park Black Hawks (Bethel Park, PA) in a non-league match, on Friday, March 16. North Allegheny will attempt to move on its 28-0 season record. The Black Hawks enter the match with a 19-6 record after their 53-35 non-league win over State College (State College, PA).

With the defeat, Altoona moves to 20-5 on the year.
