The Tonganoxie Chieftains routed the visiting Lansing Lions softball squad by a count of 12-7 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Chieftains (4-0) will now prepare for their battle against Turner (Kansas City, KS). The Golden Bears go into the Kaw Valley battle with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, Turner was routed by St. James Academy (Lenexa, KS), 8-2, in a non-league battle.

The Lions now sport a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to South for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 23. Lansing will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 15-0 league win over East (Shawnee Mission, KS). The Falcons record now stands at 8-1.
