In Friday's non-league game, the Johnson County Trojans (Wrightsville, GA) football team were victorious over the host Portal Panthers (Portal, GA), by a score of 19-6.

The Trojans (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Montgomery County (Mt. Vernon, GA). The Eagles come into the A Region 3B game with a 0-5 record. In their last game, Montgomery County was knocked off by Savannah Christian (Savannah, GA), 44-0, in a non-league game.

The Panthers now sport a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they host Claxton for a A Region 3A game on Friday, October 2. Portal will battle a Tigers team coming off a 21-6 non-league loss to Treutlen (Soperton, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 1-3.
