Oregon High School Baseball - Santiam sneaks past Scio
May 11, 2009: Scio, OR 97374 Spectators at Monday's league battle between the Santiam Wolverines (Mill City, OR) and the host Scio Loggers (Scio, OR), saw Santiam's baseball squad edge Scio by a margin of 6-5.
Coming up next, the Wolverines play the Perrydale Pirates (Amity, OR) in a 2A Special District 2 battle, on Wednesday, May 13. Santiam will attempt to better on its 14-9 season record. The Pirates enter the battle with a 3-13 record after their 11-1 league loss to Blanchet Catholic (Salem, OR).
The Loggers now sport a 9-10 record. They take the field next when they host Kennedy for a 2A Special District 2 battle on Wednesday, May 13. Scio will play a Trojans squad coming off a 15-3 league loss to Salem Academy (Salem, OR). The Trojans record now stands at 15-9.
