Northeast Vikings (St. Petersburg, FL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Central Bears (Brooksville, FL), 58-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Northeast upgrades its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Largo (Largo, FL) to play the Packers in a 5A District 12 bout on Tuesday, January 5. The Packers come into the bout with a record of 10-2. Largo lost 68-65 in their recent non-league bout against Collier (Naples, FL)
