Virginia High School Basketball - Bayside can't hold off Deep Creek
January 21, 2015: Virginia Beach, VA 23455 The Deep Creek Hornets basketball team scored 63 points and held the host Bayside Marlins to 57 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Wednesday.
With the victory, Deep Creek upgrades its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Washington (Norfolk, VA) to play the Mighty Bookers in a 4A Conference 17 bout on Friday, January 23. The Mighty Bookers come into the bout with a record of 9-5. Washington lost 66-62 in their recent league bout against Lake Taylor (Norfolk, VA)
Next up, the Marlins play the Granby Comets (Norfolk, VA) in a 6A Conference 1 bout, on Friday, January 23. Bayside will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Comets come into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 63-33 league loss to Landstown (Virginia Beach, VA).
