Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Blackhawk prevails Mercyhurst Prep
December 22, 2012: Erie, PA 16504 Blackhawk Cougars (Beaver Falls, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA), 62-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Blackhawk upgrades its record to 6-0 on the season. The Cougars host West Allegheny (Imperial, PA) to encounter the Indians in a WPIAL AAA 2 bout on Thursday, January 3. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 2-5. West Allegheny lost 44-43 in their recent league bout against Lincoln (Ellwood City, PA)
Next up, the Lakers encounter the Central Tech Falcons (Erie, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 5. Mercyhurst Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record.
