New York High School Basketball - Watervliet knocked off by Voorheesville
December 15, 2015: Watervliet, NY 12189 The Voorheesville Blackbirds basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Watervliet Cannoneers to 52 in the Blackbirds league triumph on Tuesday.
The Blackbirds now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Schalmont for a Section 2 Colonial contest on Friday, December 18. Voorheesville will battle a Sabres team coming off a 74-46 league win over Cohoes (Cohoes, NY). The Sabres record now stands at 5-2.
The Cannoneers (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Cobleskill-Richmondville (Cobleskill, NY). The Bulldogs enter the Section 2 Colonial contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Cobleskill-Richmondville was defeated by LaSalle Institute (Troy, NY), 70-34, in a non-league contest.
