Ohio High School Basketball - Genoa Area nips Wauseon
December 7, 2016: Genoa, OH 43430 Genoa Area Comets (Genoa, OH) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Wauseon Indians (Wauseon, OH), 59-52 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Genoa Area upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Ohio School for the Deaf (Columbus, OH) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 8. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 0-1. Ohio School for the Deaf lost 65-32 in their recent non-league bout against Northside Christian (Westerville, OH)
Next up, the Indians play the Fairview Apaches (Sherwood, OH) in a non-league game, on Saturday, December 10. Wauseon will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Apaches enter the game with a 1-1 record after their 55-38 non-league win over Jefferson (Delphos, OH).
