In Tuesday's league battle, the visiting Newtown Nighthawks lacrosse squad scored a tight 9-8 triumph over the New Milford Green Wave.

The Nighthawks (9-2) will now prepare for their match against Masuk (Monroe, CT). The Panthers go into the Southwest match with a 4-4 record.

The Green Wave (4-5) will now prepare for their match against Weston (Weston, CT). The Trojans go into the Southwest match with a 6-2 record. In their last match, Weston nudged Staples (Westport, CT), 8-5, in a non-league match.
