The Lions now hold a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hillsborough for a 6A District 9 outing on Tuesday, February 25. King will confront a Terriers team coming off a 11-1 league win over Blake (Tampa, FL). The Terriers record now stands at 3-1.
Next, the Hawks confront the Lennard Longhorns (Ruskin, FL) in a 6A District 9 outing, on Tuesday, February 25. Armwood will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Longhorns go into the outing with a 2-3 record after their 6-1 league loss to Chamberlain (Tampa, FL).
Game Summary
The Lions remained undefeated on the season with a 14 - 4 victory over Armwood on February 21, 2014. The Lions scored 2 in the first, two more in the second on Kobe Barnum's first career home run, and a single run in the third to take a 5 - 0 lead. The Hawks narrowed the score to 5 - 4 after the top of the fifth inning, but the Lions went off for 8 in the bottom of the fifth to regain the momentum. The Lions then scored on Ethan Thomas's single to left in the sixth to take a 10-run lead and end the game.
