Kentucky High School Football - Cooper prevails Lexington Catholic
September 23, 2016: Lexington, KY 40503 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Cooper Jaguars (Burlington, KY) and the host Lexington Catholic Knights (Lexington, KY), observed Cooper's football squad defeat Lexington Catholic by a count of 38-20.
The Jaguars now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Dixie Heights for a non-league contest on Friday, September 30. Cooper will encounter a Colonels squad coming off a 23-12 non-league win over Boone County (Florence, KY). The Colonels record now stands at 4-2.
Coming up next, the Knights encounter the Western Hills Wolverines (Frankfort, KY) in a 3A District 4 contest, on Friday, October 7. Lexington Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Wolverines go into the contest with a 5-1 record after their 41-35 non-league win over East Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY).
