California High School Basketball - Apple Valley can't hold off Hesperia Christian
January 29, 2018: Hesperia, CA 92345 The Apple Valley Sun Devils basketball team (Apple Valley, CA), was nudged 72-70 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Hesperia Christian Patriots (Hesperia, CA)
The Patriots now sport a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Academy for Academic Excellence for a Cross Valley match on Tuesday, January 30. Hesperia Christian will meet a Knights team coming off a 45-42 league loss to Excelsior Charter (Victorville, CA). The Knights record now stands at 9-8.
With the defeat, Apple Valley moves to 7-13 on the year. The Sun devils host Burroughs (Ridgecrest, CA) to meet the Burros in a Mojave River match on Wednesday, January 31. The Burros enter the match with a record of 13-5. Burroughs won 62-48 in their recent league match against Oak Hills (Hesperia, CA)
